Benediktas Vanagas is maybe the most successful Lithuanian rally driver of all times. Vanagas has been professionally involved in motorsports for more than 20 years. Throughout his sporting career, the racer has achieved significant results in several different motorsports.
He started racing in a ring race, later Vanagas switched to car rallying. Constantly among the leaders in his class and in the absolute standings, the athlete started in rally marathons a few years ago and barely made his debut and achieved significant results. At the beginning of his career, the racer also participated in off-road marathons. In the most powerful world marathon in this field, the Ladoga Trophy took second place for two years in a row. It is also worth mentioning the successful start of 2012 in the Swedish stage of the World Rally Championship (WRC), where the fourth place in the class and the twenty-seventh place in the absolute standings were won among the strong competitors.
The most significant achievements in the career of Vanagas is undoubtedly the victory of the 1000 km race in Palanga in 2013.
1st places at FIA Baltic Rally Trophy, ENEOS 1006 km race and Winter Rally 2018 are unquestionably memorable!
Vanagas has been a consistent performer on the Dakar Rally since making his debut in 2013, reaching the finish line in all but one of his eight participations.
Benediktas is a member of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Baltics team. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing competes in both the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
